The project aims to create a Sustainable Cycle Destination that connects Spain and Portugal to promote the natural, cultural, and gastronomic heritage of the province of Zamora (ES) and the region of Tr\u00e1s-os-Montes (PT).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project is not only aimed at cycling tourists and bike enthusiasts but also at families, nature lovers, and the general public. Alongside the main cycling route, the project also seeks to offer cultural, gastronomic, and health-related activities for everyone..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The intervention areas of the IBERLOBO project include the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.montesinho.com\/es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Montesinho<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitportugal.com\/es\/node\/156080\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Douro International<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.turismosanabria.es\/parque_natural\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Sanabria and Surroundings<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/patrimonionatural.org\/espacios-naturales\/parque-natural\/parque-natural-arribes-del-duero\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Arribes del Duero<\/a> Natural Parks, as well as part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/patrimonionatural.org\/espacios-naturales\/parque-natural\/parque-natural-arribes-del-duero\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Sierra de la Culebra Natural Reserve<\/a>. Despite their rich natural, cultural, and heritage assets, these areas face dual challenges: low population density and a high ageing index.
