Plenary
It is the highest governing and representative body of the Chamber. It is composed of companies from the Chamber’s territorial jurisdiction and individuals of recognised standing in the business community, democratically elected every four years. The Plenary approves the budget, determines the Chamber’s policy and appoints the Executive Committee and the President from among its members.
It meets in plenary sessions and has authority over all matters reserved for decision by the Plenary.
The Chamber’s Plenary consists of eighteen members:
Twelve members elected by free, equal, direct and secret ballot from among all the Chamber’s electors, classified into groups and categories according to the relative importance of the various economic sectors.
Three members appointed from among the companies making the largest voluntary financial contributions.
Three members elected from among individuals of recognised standing in the economic life of the Chamber’s territorial jurisdiction, proposed by the most representative intersectoral and territorial business organisations.
